The water splashing festival has many interesting activities with water. One of the activities is a dragon boat contest where the Dai people gets rid of evil things from last year. There is also a torch

festival and it is in June every year. You can look at Yi people in bright clothes carrying torches and walking around their houses and farmland. Sometimes you can join their performances singing and dancing around bonfires.

This is a two day festival which starts by having a show called “jumping in to the fire sea”. The festival celebrates in February. The Lusi group celebrates this festival. On the second day of the festival, performers do a show called “climbing the mountain with many knives” using a ladder with 32 long and sharp knives. When they get to the top of the ladder they light fireworks to celebrate.

Splendid China has many different models of buildings everywhere in China. In Mosuo People’s Yard you can observe furniture such as tables, stoves and a stone path. Yunnan province has many houses that are out of bamboo, like roofs and tiles. There are yurts which are built by the Mongl group. The houses keep them cool in the summer and warm and in the winter, and they can build and tear them down easily.
